Beautiful Skin Care


It's never to early to begin taking care of your skin.  You probably know that your skin is your largest organ, and that it can be easily be damaged by the sun, pollutants in the air, and simple aging.  But there are things that you can do to help your skin keep looking and feeling it's best.  

A proper diet is the foundation of healthy and beautiful skin; eating right, exercise and rest are the most important things that you can do to maintain overall health and beautiful skin.   Good nutrition is not only good for your overall health it also ensures that your skin receives all of the nutrients it needs to maintain and repair cells. 
Hydrating the skin is also important, as water helps move nutrients through the system.  Always drink purified water, as regular tap water may contain fluoride and other harmful toxins that will cause damage to the body's organs, including the skin.
 Ultraviolet radiation can damage the skin which can lead to premature aging, wrinkles, and age spots, so always use a natural sunscreen and be sure to wear a wide brimmed hat when spending a lot of time in the sun.  Your body needs sunlight in order to produce Vitamin D, which helps you immune system fight off depression and disease, so don't be afraid to get some sun; 10 to 15 minutes of direct exposure everyday should be sufficient. 
 Avoid using harsh soaps when bathing; use a gentle soap that does not contain perfumes, dyes or parabens and never use hot water that will strip the oils that hydrate and protect the skin.  Follow up your warm bath with a good body oil, such as wren & nest Body Oil.
